Life of a transfer student?

<p>Hi, I am thinking about transferring to UIUC in the school of business for my junior year of college from DePaul University.</p>

<p>I just wanted to know what the life is like as a transfer student and if it is easy to find a niche at UIUC coming in after most others have known each other for a good 2 years. Any advice would help a ton.</p>

<p>Also, in order to save money I would most likely live in an off campus apartment. Is this easy to do, and is it easy to find people considering I wouldn’t know anyone on campus until I start that year?</p>
