Life Science Transfers deciding to go to Med school (maybe)

Hello, I’m planning to transfer to a UC school aiming for UCLA. My major is MIMG. I’m deciding to go to Med School but I’m not 100% positive as yet. But if I do want to go, will medical schools look down on me for taking most of all my science courses in CC. It’s not like I want to take them in CC but it’s part of major in order to transfer so I have no other choice. I’ll be taking gen chem & organic chem in CC. Then after I transfer ill be taking upper division courses.

But will it hurt my chances to get into Med school if I take gen & organic chem in CC? also I’ll be taking physics in CC.(part of major requirement in order to transfer). If it does, can I take them when I transfer all over again so it can count as pre-med course? I heard Hopkins does not like it if you take your science premed courses in CC.

My current gpa is 3.5, it goes up every semester so hopefully by the end of my last semester in CC it will be a 4.0. I’m currently in my first year of CC so i still have 2 more to go. I planed to stay in CC for 3 years due to the amount of classes I have to take. Also I’m currently volunteer at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. If that helps.

MIMG requires a bunch of upper division biochemistry and biology courses, right? If so, then wouldn’t doing well in those upper division courses confirm to medical schools that look down on CC courses that you are able to handle science courses at a four year school? (However, if any medical school flatly rejects CC courses, like JHU used to, then that may still be a problem.)

3.5 GPA is not great for admission to medical school, though.
