<p>This article is a bit vague on some details, but it is more evidence that UMD will be limiting enrollment…</p>
<p>If you want to major in one of these areas, it is possible that you could be accepted, and try to transfer later, as in the other LEPs at UMD.</p>
<p>I thought this was interesting, since you could declare a science major easily at anytime just by attending a brief Internal Transfer Workshop (I applied to Letters and Sciences and this is what I did to transfer into the College of Chemical and Life Sciences, no requirements really or anything.)</p>
<p>Yes, it sounds like this will be changing in the future. It will be more like transferring into the Engineering or Business LEPs after you are on campus. Certainly possible, (probable if you have great grades at UMD), but not as simple as your experience was this semester.</p>
<p>I hear about this earlier; really sad, considering I wanted to be able to dbl major in the life sciences.</p>
<p>uhh…does this take into affect for this years senior class? (2010) Because the article says after this year… If it includes 2010, this has just screwed me over completely.</p>
