LOL- YDS, that literally made me laugh out loud.
I actually gave a co-presentation about the project that I will continue working on for my PhD this past Wednesday. It was to a group of social epidemiologists who weren’t familiar with this area of history. One of the things that they brought up was how these types of historical traumas influenced modern-day distrust of medicine. It is something that I am very interested in but in reference to repro health rather than vaccines. They’re all interconnected for poor communities and for communities of color.
(The anti-vaxxers are a whole 'nother can of worms but it’s fascinating how interconnected everything is.)

True. On the bright side, I will have the summer mostly off to deal with wedding stuff and I don’t have to worry about scheduling a new job around it. It’s wonderful!
The sad thing is, one of my first thoughts was “My partner and I are going to have health insurance continually for the next 5 years!”
