I’m hoping to attend the honors college at Umass Boston next fall, and am looking to receive the Chancellor Scholarship (full tuition and fees paid for). I completed the school’s net price calculator and the Chancellor scholarship was included in the scholarship and grants section of my estimated package. I know no scholarship is guaranteed but since I am well qualified and the calculator predicted I would get it what are my chances? I got a 32 on the ACT and have a 3.92 by their recalculated GPA standards, and the starting requirement is a 3.5 and a 27.
I think you have just as much guessing capacity as anyone here. Print out and keep the NPC. If they put it on the NPC looks like it would be automatic baring any glaring problem with your application. The calculators won’t usually put competitive scholarships on because they need to see your supplementary admissions material.
