<p>So, I have a dilemma, one that I couldn’t solve until this week due to a certain administrative staff member being on vacation for the past week.</p>
<p>The date I signed up for CALSO on was June 8-9th, the first two days of my school’s grad practice. I figured it wouldn’t matter, since we will have 2 more days of practice after that, plus it’s graduation practice, I mean, hello walking and sitting. How difficult, yanno?</p>
<p>But apparently it is. If I miss more than one day of grad practice, I cannot attend graduation, says the administration. I can still graduate of course (I can pick up my diploma on a later date), but I will be unable to participate in the ceremony. I then went to see if I could change my CALSO date and just take the penalty charge, which isn’t too big at this point.</p>
<p>Now, the problem begins. The only other date during which I will be in the states and be able to attend CALSO is the 15-16th, which is full.</p>
<p>So my choice comes down to this: Should I not attend CALSO (and would I be screwed if I don’t) or should I not participate in the graduation ceremony? Thoughts, comments, suggestions, political statements?</p>
