Likely Letter & Merit Aid

My Daughter received a Likely Letter, more of a postcard really, today. Anyone here received these in the past and if so did you also receive Merit Aid/Scholarship when your official acceptance packet came?

What are the chances of receiving Merit Aid, if you receive a Likely Letter.

Awesome news for your daughter! If you don’t mind sharing, what are your daughters stats?

Thanks @fm0101 . I am very similar, plan to study public health and also got into UMDCP Honors. Holding out for good news from GW even without getting the letter today

@laughandlearn23 not getting the letter is not a bad sign or sign you won’t get in, the majority of applicants admitted will not have received it, Stay positive if your stats are similar then I would say you have a very good chance…

My daughter also got the ‘postcard’.

I was so surprised to receive a likely letter (postcard) today. I am not a URM, athlete, or legacy. My stats are good but not College Confidential good lol. I’m guessing they sent these to a bunch of people. I honestly only thought this was something the Ivys did, but I’m not complaining!

Sitting in FL with no postcard… Not stressing yet because I have confidence in my application, but I do wish I could’ve gotten one last week to ease my anxiety.

@radgreek I’m from FL too, have you received any sort of LL? I still haven’t… Getting concerned because it’s been a while since some people have received theirs

@koolkat25 Nope… To be honest, I’m a little surprised because I felt really good about my overall application. Hopefully we will get in without LL’s. Only about two weeks until we know for sure!

Where the heck is the blue envelope?

Right? They said in a few weeks, but I figured it would be pretty soon…
