likely letter to Patriot League school

hilldweller’s post re: LL to patriot school illustrates what it takes to get athletes to attend schools w/o scholarships. Those act/gpa scores alone would not get that student into many schools, and it is likely that his athletic ability was not high enough to go D1 elsewhere. Lower the academic requirements, Increase the tuition paid, likely lower the athletic ability, and you’ve got a good formula for a patriot athlete (if indeed these stats are accurate).

Hilldweller’s football player does seem to be an outlier on the Patriot League Academic Index. Does football have its own standard?
