Likely Letters?

is this the first year brown is sending likely letters?

Brown sent likely letters last year. They target highly desirable students. Check out this discussion: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/brown-university/461333-likely-letters.html

Speak_Easy, I’m sure I was more honest in tone and character to Brown than I was to you with an ironic post on this website. Honestly, come on guys, lighten up.

SpicyChipmunk, I’d love to answer your queston but unfortunately I dont know what a URM is :stuck_out_tongue: I’ll look it up and get back to you lol.

Ill post a few stats, apparently most likely letters were like crazy 2400/1600s!
I’m a math junkie ; )

I don’t do any world class EC’s, but I definitely have done what I loved to do so far in school (and try to do pretty well at them!) so I hope that showed through on my application!

Congrats to the rest of you who got one! I hope lots of the still hopefuls will see one by the end of the month!

Haha okay, I really don’t spend that much time on these forums, so I’m a noobie with a few of the abbreviations.
Anyway, no, I’m a well represented white kid from Maine. lol.
Hope to see lots of you at the admitted students days!

Haha, thanks Billman. I ask because I have very similar stats to yours (35 ACT, 800 Eco Bio, 770 MathIIC, 720 Lit). I am also just a well-rounded white kid from NH with a passion for science. I hope this means good news for me come the 31st. Thanks for the response, and CONGRATS!

No Problem, Good luck on the 31st, and thanks!

I got a likely letter today also! It’s dated March 14th. I am ecstatic and very surprised, because I even declined my interview (not because I wanted to)… but wow. I am so very thankful right now. Congrats to everyone who got one, and good luck to everyone else!

Congratulations everyone! I didn’t get one, but I don’t think Brown would be financially possible for me anyway. Anyone know what percentage of accepted students received a likely letter?

Man. So many scary-good stats. I mean, mine are good, but my GPA is not as stunning as everyone else’s. Well, fingers crossed, I suppose…

To the admitted people - out of curiosity, do you know when the admitted students’ open house/overnight days are? I live on the west coast and am trying to plan an east coast visit - Brown’s my top choice, so crazy chance I get in, I’m definitely going to whatever they have… but I don’t want to RSVP for another school who overlaps with their time. Thanks in advance!

Those of you who got likely letters, did your status on the admission decision link change? Or does it still say that decisions will be available on the 31st?

ADOCH (A Day on College Hill, for accepted students) is April 15 and 16 this year.

Does ADOCH conflict with any other Ivy college days? Someone earlier said that the Ivies all coordinate their days so that they do not conflict.

Thanks for the info!

Some college days are posted here
