Limited opportunities

How do adcoms know whether you’ve made the most of your high school career? I’ve taken the highest classes whenever they could fit into my schedule and I’ve participated in many activities that I could afford.

However, after reading several threads about people’s EC’s, I’ve begun to worry. People have all of these clubs at there schools that I’ve never even heard of. Our school doesn’t even have Key Club. And there is very little to do outside of school because I live in such an isolated town in Vermont.

I’m worrying that the lack of activities within my school will hurt me in the admissions process.

they take into account what opportunities you have at your school, however, it is important to show quality, soo whatever there is available, ou should take full advantage of

Don’t take CC too seriously and don’t be discouraged by all the stuff you see here. That almost killed me, too. Come back to CC when you get your admissions decisions.

Everything is relative. . . if you are an active guy in your remote Vermont village, it’ll show up in what you do.
