<p>Thanks everyone! I know I should really wait until I find out who my roommate is (and where I’m living lol) but those assignments don’t come out until the 3rd of July and I’ll be out of the country starting July 5th and won’t come back until mid-August. (I’ll be back about a week before move in.) So I’m trying to buy whatever I can before I leave that doesn’t depend upon my roommate. (like towels, a bike, and a rice cooker lol.) Hopefully I’ll have an amazing roommate who could find everything for us and I could just pay her half. 
(I doubt it but I’m gonna keep hoping.) Otherwise, we hopefully can figure out everything on the 3rd, I could buy my stuff on the 4th of July (which means Macys will have a sale! SCORE.) and then I could leave on the 5th and buy the other odds and ends after I get back. And the rug: should we buy that after we move in? i feel like it may be a lot of extra hassle if we bring it on moving day when we could easily go a week later and bring it without fear of hitting everyone as we lug it up the stairs. </p>
<p>Also, is UVa Housing’s “To Bring” List just for basic stuff? I wish they had specified a recommended amount for linens instead of putting “etc.”
