I got accepted to Berkeley for the fall semester of 2013. I am pretty set declaring the Linguistics major when the time comes, but later became interested in Nuclear Engineering. I do not know if I should double major… or have NucE as a minor.

That being said, I picked my classes for Tele-Bears Phase I. I have Linguistics 5, Slavic 1, and Poli Sci 179. Should I choose Nuclear Engineering 92 for Phase II, or should I choose a class that satisfies the NucE minor prerequisites (Math 1A/1B, Physics 7A/7B, or Engineering 45)?

I do not know if taking NucE 92 would be good for me to take in my first semester as a freshman, do you guys have any experience with it?

Am I just getting way ahead of myself? Is a Linguistics Major with a Nuclear Engineering Minor even feasible?

If you are considering the NE major or minor, it would be a good idea to start off the prerequisites for that, such as Math 1A if you have no AP calculus credit. Even the NE minor requires the full lower division math (1A-1B-53,54) and physics (7A-7B-7C) sequences, so you want to get started on them as soon as possible.
