<p>I’m interesting in writing systems so like different alphabets, not just English, but like Arabic, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, etc (I can read Korean). I was just wondering under what branch of linguistics would that be under?</p>

<p>There is really interesting work being done in neuroscience/cognitive science on dyslexia in different writing systems. Google something like “English Chinese Dyslexia” and see what you come up with.</p>
