<p>I received an invitation via email from someone from UCLA to join her “professional network at LinkedIn.” What does that mean? I have no clue what this is about. I’m a high school student who applied to UCLA. Is this related to the Regents Scholarship (I was invited to apply for that)?</p>

<p>LinkedIn is a social network for business professionals. It’s similar to Facebook except, instead of adding your friends, you only add those that will further your career. It is wholly unrelated with UCLA.</p>
