Links to Additional Official SAT Practice Tests from CollegeBoard

Here are links to CollegeBoard’s website that give you additional practice tests. This is all legal content available from the test writers. I have searched this forum and did not see reference to many of these tests:

OFFICIAL SAT PRACTICE TEST 2005
<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;
(Identical to TEST#6 of the current Official SAT Online Course.)

The following tests follow the old SAT format, you will need to skip the quantitative comparison section in the math sections. Use these for additional practice. One possible approach is to do the entire set of 45 math questions in 62 minutes (calculated based on the average time per question allocated on the current SAT), this will help with timed practice. In my opinion, the math content other than the quantitative companion section is every bit relevant to the current administration of the SAT. I will let others comment on how best to use the Verbal portion of these tests.

Also, use these after you have exhausted the official practice tests in the Official SAT study guide(11 tests), and the 10 tests in the Official SAT Online Course. If you don’t want to pay for the Online SAT course from College board, then use these after completing the Official SAT study guide.

Wow! Great finds! This post should be stickied… who agrees :D?

Thank you very much for the find! Now I have a plethora of tests. Pretty much enough for one a day until the March SAT!

Great! Thank you!

Wow, very useful. Thank you so much~~

Thank you soooo much!!

Can you list down any SAT Subject tests for Physics from the same source?

I saw the old SAT from what I see some of them are in the blue book is that right or am I mistaken?

Added to the thread where this information is listed.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/763933-new-feature-best-sat-prep-forum-faqs-please-read-before-posting.html</a></p>

enigmas,

None of these tests are present in the BB(Official SAT Study Guide 2nd Edition, including the recent release with the DVD)). There may be some overlap with the old red book(Real 10 SATs).

I guess I can use the passages and the sentence completions from the old tests before 2005 they seem the same I mean the type of questions and the difficulty as a whole must be the same like the new ones after 2005 ?

Yes, you can. I just did several passages and a ton of sentence completions from the pre-2005 SATs and they were good practice material. I did not feel as if the SC or the passage questions differed from the new SAT SC and passage questions.

does anyone have any more tests that they can post?

how is the CR?

Someone had earlier posted a link in this thread to a large number of recent SAT tests that were part of the QAS(Question and Answer Service). These links are illegal to post on this site and probably resulted in that member being banned.

What I am concerned is that these tests are only available to a small pool of students, who either know about them, or are actively looking for them. In my opinion this is unfair to the rest of the students. The recent QAS tests do the best job as far as reflecting the current content of the test. Why is Collegeboard hesitant to publish and make them available to everyone? What is so secretive about them? I have never read a convincing argument about this.

Is it that they may reuse similar questions in subsequent administrations? Is it that they eventually plan to make them part of some future SAT guide to ensure that they can maintain revenue from these tests?

I personally think CollegeBoard should be responsible for ensuring that all students have access to these past tests.

We need to do a collective petition that would force CollegBoard to publicly make all the QAS tests since the introduction of the new SAT.

I wish that the SAT Old format tests had answer explanations, specifically for CR :(

Thank you OP.

wow, SAT quanturm. I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH YOU! They don’t re-use questions from released tests, so what is the big deal. Then they stopped selling PSAT’s, so now we have even less to prepare with.

Please refer to the post#1 in which OP posted links to several past tests. Does anyone know where you can find answer key so you can check your answers?

ive never seen the old tests,
