Those accepted students who have qualified for their Presidential Scholarship are invited (with their parents) for a weekend in February. Daughter got the invitation today, it says more information to follow. Those who attend will receive $1,000 towards their study abroad program</p>
<p>Nashville’s a great place to visit and attend college. Make sure you swing by Belmont U, Lipscomb’s major rival and also a Christian institution. They’re very close to each other. Don’t know much about Lipscomb specifics. Compared to the policies of other institutions, and not to pooh-pooh the $$, but a grand seems like putting out a forest fire with a garden hose. The obvious but maybe not is that one has to attend to get the $1K, and these are for the top dog candidates?</p>
<p>Matriculate Lipscomb if it’s the right place. The overseas money is of little consequence, it would seem.</p>
