March of Dimes through FBLA*
Don’t know how many hours, still have to calculate, over 100

My hooks are that I am from a lower class family, a single mother, and am a first generation college applicant.
Also, if you think that my ec’s are weak please give advice on what you think I could do to strengthen them.

The schools that I am considering are:

 1. George Washington
 2. Emory
 3. NYU
 4. KU (as a safety)
 5. U. of Pittsburgh or Boston U. (can’t decide which)
 6. UVA, Wake Forest, or U. of Chicago

Are there any others that I should consider, that are possible for me to get accepted to?

Holy Cross, one hour west of Boston

Considering my stats, minus the ACT/SAT, what are some good colleges, near large or in large cities that have good programs in econ/poli sci?

Rhodes is in Memphis (within a day’s drive of Topeka). Good econ and poli sci. GPA and class rank are a match.

EMORY has a great political science department!!! Glad you’re considering it. I would also suggest going on the department website for schools that interest you and looking at the courses and faculty.
