I want to get as many scholarships as possible. Should I list my semifinalist status of one scholarship as an achievement in the application for other scholarships? Will that harm my chance of receiving other scholarships?</p>
<p>If you got something like NMSF and the scholarship has an ACADEMIC AWARDS section, and you have extra space, then yeah, maybe. I don’t really know.</p>
<p>The scholarship I want to put in is quite competitive to get, and now I’m a semifinalist for that scholarship. I just fear that if I list this information in my application for other scholarships as one of my achievements, I wont probably get those scholarships as scholarships are often given to the neediest people, and my information indicates that I’m not quite needy. </p>
<p>Will this information do more harm than good? Should I list it?
(Like if you’re admitted to Harvard already, but want to get into MIT. Will you tell MIT that you got into Harvard? Does this information help or harm you?)</p>
<p>You don’t need to note where you have been accepted unless you are asked (scholarship applications do ask this, but not necessarily college apps), but being a semi-finalist in say the Coca-Cola competition is a big deal. I think that when you have won other scholarships it catches the attention of the next scholarship committee. Some scholarships are quite prestigious and it might cause the committee to look extra long at your application.</p>
