I just wanted to know a list of colleges that offer work-study programs because if I want to go to a private university, I am going to need to get some kind of money from the college. I probably won’t get too much from FAFSA because I come from a upper-middle class family sooo yeah. Also, does anyone know how much the average person makes from doing work-study on campus per year? Thanks a lot!

And P.S- I am not being lazy by just looking on the college websites because most of them are being very vague about it. =)

I could be wrong…but I believe Work Study is a NEED BASED federally funded program. To qualify for work study, you would have to have financial need. Many colleges also have on campus jobs that are not work study, and also there are jobs off campus. You might want to check the availability of these types of employment opportunities as well.

Work Study is need based. Most, if not all, schools that offer any federal need based aid will offer work study. I believe the maximum amount varies by school. At my daughter’s school the maximum is $3,400. I have seen others report higher maximums (in the $4ks) on CC. But you must have financial need to be offered WS.
