<p>From what I heard, you don’t need to be in a good medical school, though it can obviously help you if you are. For clinical medicine, I’ve heard that if you’re at the top of your class with good board scores and everything from a mediocre school, you still have a shot at a good residency. Remember though, for academic medicine, going to a prestigious medical school is a must.</p>
