Listing fundraising question

My daughter is working on common app wording for extra curriculars. She has done fundraising for a non-profit this year on her own without help. She wanted feedback on how to word the portion about how much she raised.

Would you suggest only saying her efforts lead to X% increase in funds raised or would you say efforts lead to

X% increase in funds raised, $Y in donations. Or something else? The percent was over 300% and the dollars were over $10k.

Personally, I focus less on the $$ amount than on what the organization do and why that is important to your D.

I would use both the $ raised and the % increase but add a short descriptor to fit within the 150 character limit, something like:

“Raised $10k, a 300% increase from prior efforts through [XYZ actions]”. IMO results and effort applied are more important than the intent here. Intent and “passion” are better covered in the essays/short answers.

Always quantify when you can - so I like the raised x $, y% increase over last year. If she did anything else, you can list it too.

In general, that you did something will be more important than the exact #s or percentages, etc.

She’ll get credit for making an impact - whether $10K, 1K or $100K… so don’t overthink it.

Congrats to her on a great achievement.
