Listing personal info in school directory?

<p>On the NYU freshman housing application website, it asks if you want this information shown in the directories- </p>

<ul>
<li>List my name, residence hall, and NYU phone number in the printed on- campus phone directory</li>
<li>List my name, school affiliation, and NYU email address in the online directory</li>
</ul>

<p>Because of security, I’m not sure if the first option is a good idea. What are other people doing?</p>

<p>It’s not so much more dangerous than being listed in the phone book. I wouldn’t worry about it either away.</p>

<p>I wouldn’t worry about it too much, I don’t think anyone uses the phone book. I’m not even positive how to access it? (Is it online?). Couldn’t people get the same info from facebook?</p>
