Literature barron

How do the scores you get for Barron's practice tests compare to your actual scores? Are the tests in Barron harder than the actual one?

I've found that the majority of Barron's books are harder than the actual test. Ridiculously so, sometimes. I usually prefer to solve other books first.

As for Literature in particular, all of the scores I got on my practice tests were significantly lower than my actual score. The SAT is slightly different in that it rarely asks questions about literature-based jargon, "anaphora," for example. I didn't find the books to be helpful except in that they help you get used to continously solving literature-based questions.
