<p>I think we need to revive an old thread about appropriate titles for different phases of the application/admission process.</p>

<p>Wow-- so many threads have prolific writers in them these past few days. Hard to keep up. I am still on p3t’s post #7. Snowplow. We called kid #1 “practice”. At first we thought about calling him “polaroid”, b/c if the outcome came out badly or fuzzy, we’d just toss 'em and start over. Maybe “digital” is more contemporary. Bad outcome? Delete.</p>

<p>Bethie…I do know musical theater…what can I say…it isn’t just having seen a lot of shows but having a child in the field and two kids who are into musicals so I know a bunch of 'em. </p>
<p>As far as Reason to Believe…I only know that it is on a Springsteen album. To be honest, when coming up with songs, I went to the shelf and pulled some records (yes, those old things, remember them?) off the shelf and happened to pull a Springsteen one and found that song (but maybe it wasn’t written by him?) and each album I picked, there was an abundance of songs that could have very fitting interpretations on college themes. It was pretty easy. Then, I got on a musicals kick. I could do this all day…watch out.</p>

<p>Springsteen and Tim Hardin each wrote a different song called “Reason To Believe”. Springsteen’s is sort of a skiffly, working-class blues shuffle with hints of sunlight behind the clouds. Hardin’s (which is probably better known, at least among those of us who were sentient in the 60s) is a love song: “Someone like you / Makes it hard to live without / Somebody else”.</p>
