Live webcam of an eagles nest, with sound

Since when did they start running comercials thru the cam? Seems like an oxymorn.

There’s an eagle cam also at the Norfolk Botanical Garden website. Three eggs were laid in February and an adult eagle was in the nest a minute ago when I looked.
First egg was laid 2 days ago!!

I was hoping someone would bump this thread up, since the new eggs were laid!!

Watching right now - one of the parents is feeding the two babies!

The adult female bald eagle at the Norfolk Botanical Garden was killed by an airplane on April 26, and the three eaglets were removed from the nest the following day. I cried when I read the news last week. I’ve watched the adult pair on the eagle cam for the past several years, and it seems like yesterday that I was watching the adult female feed and shelter her latest brood. I wonder what will happen to the adult male since bald eagles mate for life.

The eaglets can be viewed live from their new home at the Wildlife Center of Virginia. Just heartbreaking.

So are there one or two babies?

http://www.hornbyeagles.com/webcam.htm

There are 2. Alexandra, the female, was born 3 days before David and is quite a bit larger. (there is a facebook page so I go to that as well as the webcam). It was so sad last year when the little one died suddenly. Hopefully these 2 will survive.

Awww… There is a baby hiding from the yucky rain under his mom’s (or dad’s?) wing. This year’s weather has not been kind to critters…

If this hasn’t been posted, eagle watchers should go to the Decorah eagle cam. They have infrared so you can watch 24/7. Their eagles are older by a few weeks.

From the shot right now, only one baby is getting lunch. The other appears to be napping (let’s hope) next to it. Shouldn’t they both be begging?

They are both awake now, but the smaller guy is hanging back. Maybe he knows the pecking order… (badda bing!!)

David seems to be awake now, but is not getting any food. Hopefully A will get full soon and Mom will feed the little one. No wonder he is staying so much smaller. She’s a piggy.

Ah-- chow time for both!

Oh good, Mom is finally feeding the little one.
