Living in a Co-op House

Does anyone have experience with this at U of M?

My daughter lived in a co-op for her Junior year. I thought the place was run down, but she liked the experience. I see that you are an older student, and that makes it an even better choice for you than it was for her. I think that the co-ops tend to attract the non-traditional student, and you would feel less out of the mainstream in the co-op system than in the dorms. The truth is that most of the upper level students at Michigan live off campus, so the dorms are mostly filled with freshman. The co-ops are a halfway measure it seems to me, between off campus individual housing units, and the dorms. The exceptions in dorms would be Cambridge House and North Quad which are very hard to get a room in.
