My D just got a letter from the Office of Housing and Residential Life that invited her to fake advantage of the recently designed Living and Learning Community based around her academic area of interest which says she is listed as a"Fine Arts Major". It says there are a limited number of spaces available and she can send in her application now. Does this mean anything? It was dated March 6 (before the audition process was over) but postmarked on March 25. Needless to say this has us all on pins and needles. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Oh my goodness. We received the same letter today!!! Our letter was dated March third and the postmark was March 23 (it took 5 days to get here…yikes). My D’s audition was March 21, so I doubt the decision was made by then. Who knows…this is pure craziness!

PS I had to LOL at the above post that says “fake advantage” instead of take advantage…tee hee…;)

My D received the same letter, but we’re not reading that much into it. I guess only time will tell…hopefully we’ll know at some point next week!

But Pohsmom…there is nothing wrong with hoping its a good sign, right??? :)

My D received the same thing yesterday as did her friend. Dated and postmarked the same. We thought that was odd as well. I thought it was silly that they mention to send it back as soon as possible because there are limited spaces because the acceptances/rejections aren’t supposed to go out until April 1st and the priority deadline for the LLC housing is April 3rd!

My D’s was dated March 6 and postmarked the 23rd as well.

I haven’t been contributing much…have been trying to leave this up to parents of students who are currently part of the program. Thought it best to chime in right away though…and unfortunately I have to be Debbie Downer as well. The housing on campus fills in a hurry. These are merely form letters that are sent out to all academically accepted students. So, no more should be read into them than just that. Sorry…I understand the wait…it is tough. Best wishes.
