I’m applying to LMU and was wondering about the optional biographical statement to tell the school more about myself. I don’t really have anything to add after all my essays; would not doing the biographical essay hurt my admission chances? Thanks!

I’m pretty sure my son is going to leave the Autobiographical Essay space blank. He did write an “Additional Information” essay in the Common App, and with the other 2 required essays, it seemed like enough already.

It does make you a bit nervous NOT to write something there, though, doesn’t it?

This was definitely one of the most time-consuming supplements he’s worked on.

I think my son is leaving it blank as well. This supplement has taken him forever even without writing anything in that section. I hope he submits it tonight but he is still agonizing over which of 2 majors to choose. And then he has to write about why he chose that major, plus one of the majors requires yet another essay!! He may be up very late tomorrow night

I did it and i got in and my gpa was below average. If your stats aren’t great, then do it

thesanchize: Too late, app was sent in today! I’m hoping with the 2 very long Common App essays (He did the Main Essay and a long Additional Information essay sent to all Common App schools) , and the other two LMU essays, they had a a pretty good picture of my son, even without Additional Additional information…we’ll see! His main essay for the LMU supplement was over 1,000 words.

can you please tell me what you talked about in your autobio statement? i have a below average gpa and I am definitely planning to write it. i just don’t know what to say. should i write about my family? about my home life? or talk more about school and my activities?

thanks,
