nothing for me yet… trying not to read into that too much
I got deferred for film production…
1480 SAT, 3.75 weighted GPA
@Ismail4112, keep believing, deferred acceptance will be no different than an EA acceptance at the end of your journey. LMU would be lucky to have someone like you who struggled through adversity and won. Keep up the good fight!!!
denied
I was accepted EA into the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts for Psychology!
stats: 3.5 UW GPA, 1400 SAT
ec: captain for multiple varsity sports, vice president of multiple organizations, founded another organization, student-athlete representative for my school, many athletic awards, part of a stanford research team over the summer.
essays: were really good; I write for fun so writing has always been one of my strengths.
recs: I’m really close with all my teachers and coaches—I can practically call them my second parents—so I got a lot of good comments from them.
ACCEPTED for Biology!! 1260 SAT, 25 ACT, 3.7 GPA, UCLA medical summer camp, medical volunteer work in Kenya… submitted application on October 31st right before the deadline… from Indiana… so excited!!
Denied as well @Sophiapannella , hang in there
Did anyone get accepted after the 5pm wave?
@gsingleton2002 I needed that, thank you
I forgot to mention I received the email that there was an update in my LMU status right at 5PM. Good luck everybody
My D was accepted!! Still needs to audition for dance but she’s very happy!!
@dancemom2024 your D was accepted without auditioning?
Really stressed, never got an email regarding a portal for myself. Got common app confirmations and sat score confirmations but never any from LMU-but didn’t think it was a big deal given a few of my colleges didn’t. Now obviously I don’t even know if I’m being considered for admission, any ideas on what I should do? I emailed the admissions office at 6 but they closed at 5.
got in got undeclared engineering (they emailed me at 5:26 PM PST) stats: 3.5 UW 4.3 W, 1510 SAT
My son’s friend was deferred from Film Production last year and then accepted in March.
This is what it said: “You have been accepted for admission to Loyola Marymount University and to the College of Communications and Fine Arts for the Fall 2020 semester. The faculty in the department of Dance is looking forward to your arrival this fall.” I assume though that it’s contingent on the audition. Sounds like she’s in to the school if she wants to minor in dance or major in something else.
@milgymfam thank you! DD auditioned the end of October. she felt good after audition and thought interview was very easy flowing-no pressure! She is just not sure if program has as much diversity as she is looking for. deferred from chapman and not invited for live audition to usc so she is definilty happy for some positive news! good luck!
