<p>Does anyone know if we’re supposed to request a loan deferment BEFORE we start school or can it be done after the disbursement? </p>

<p>Someone told me before that the Student Direct loans are deferred automatically, but didn’t say anything about the PLUS. :/</p>
<p>I dont know about PLUS, but yes Student Direct Loans are deferred automatically, and as long as you finished the MPN (master promissory note on studentloans.gov) and the Debt Management Session, you’re all set.</p>
