<p>There should be a row on the financial aid notice labeled “total loans.” You are “debt-free” if that number is 0. You can also find out by looking at PennPlan Online through the decision website. It really should be a no-brainer.</p>
<p>Well, I don’t know about that. My fin aid says 0 loan, but I know for a fact that the amount of money they expect me to pay is way too much. Penn’s calculated EFC for my family is around 2.3 times what the FAFSA calculated.</p>
