I was recently accepted to Rollins College as an OOS student. They are covering all but $14,000 (this includes: Federal Subsidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loans and the Federal Perkins Loan). How will I get other loans to cover the remaining costs???

Rollins is an expensive private school. You did well getting all but $14K covered but that’s pretty much it when it comes to loans without getting parents involved. They will have to lend the money to you. THey can apply through PLUS and if turned down due to credit, that’s an additional $4K this year, but then we are talking private loans for which they cosign and really are fully responsible for. The cosigning is also to go after you if they should die or default. And they would be stuck if you did too.

Are you paying anything towards your college costs? How about your family? You are supposed to pay for this with past (savings), current (income) and future(loans) on part of you and your parents, not just loans that YOU take.
