I’m almost done with a double AS in Finance and Business Administration. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.78. I’m a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Also, I tutor statistics, macro and micro economics in the colleges tutoring center; I was a peer mentor in one of the freshman seminar class offered in the college. What are the best universities that I can transfer into?

Background - grew up in India to a family without any high school degree let alone one from college. Moved to America, had to become accustomed to the culture and teach myself English to the point where I felt comfortable conversing with people. I was an average student in high school, never really understood how to work hard academically in order to change things in my life(I always felt that with my background and position in society, I was destined to become another employee at Wal-Mart) Along with being a minority it just added to my defeatist attitude. Well, looking back to then and comparing it to now, I’m a completely different person and student. I want to make something happen for myself and for my family who have spent generations in poverty, and if there is any place to make that happen, it’s in America :)

Lots of other places rank grad and undergrad business programs, like the Wall Street Journal. My CC advisers were generally worthless so you may have to do all the research on your own, but many of those schools take a good number of transfers. It sounds like you’re headed down the right path, and if I were you I would focus not only on doing well in school and extra-curriculars but also find some MENTORS. Your business professors can help you find a good program for you, and these rankings should be a good start.
