I have an important decision to make. Recently, I was placed on the Choate Wait-list. Since then, my parents have decided to make me apply to a local private school. What I am planning to do is to stay on the waitlist at Choate, but at the same time apply to the private school, just in case I don’t get off the list. I will pretty much anything in my power to attend Choate, since it’s my dream school.
Does anyone else have any helpful suggestions about how to proceed?</p>
<p>Have you inquired as to how many are on the waitlist? I go there and a good amount of my friends were waitlisted before accepted. If it is your dream school, you should definitely stay in the running to go there.</p>
<p>Have you been admitted to the day school yet?
You have nothing to lose at this point by staying on the waitlist.
Once you get admitted to the day school and have to pay a deposit to secure your spot, then you have a tough choice.</p>
<p>I haven’t been admitted to the day school yet, but I know I’ll get in.</p>
