Lofts

When my older sister was in school she had a great loft which I have now inherited. Does anyone know the policies on lofting? It really gives you so much more room.

if you are a freshman and sophomore you can’t live off campus, only after your junior year you can. Exceptions will be if you live in DC to start with, then they work with you

Multitasker, I think he’s referring to lofting a bed so you can put a desk (or whatever) underneath. LOL, if I inherited an actual loft apt in DC I would sell it and use it to pay the $200 gs needed to cover tuition and probably have some $$$ left over!

ha ha, sorry, that was dum!
I don’t think there is a rule on that, but you could check with housing it that becomes and issue.
good luck!

HI, I just saw your reply Multitasker, I did mean lofts like in beds LOL. If I had a loft like in apt., I’d probably have enough money not to go to school and live off my parents for a bit longer while I “find myself,” maybe in Bora Bora or some where exotic!

I know, waveswatcher, you are right!
Actually, a studio of about 500-600 sq feet rental cost about 1750 a month and lucky if you can get one with all utilities paid! So a loft would have made you very popular, indeed!

if you can’t loft your bed you can at least buy these platform things…obviously i am having trouble remembering what they are actually called. They sell them at the gw book store and they raise your bed about a foot or so, which is great for storage space
