<p>Me: Hi, I can’t log into port Triton to check the jobs, so how can I do that?</p>

<p>Lady: theres 20 dollar fee, if you want to do that then we can do that and you’ll see or you can wait until september 15th</p>

<p>me: but the financial aid thing is due july 12th so how am i supposed to pick a job after the due date?</p>

<p>iran.4 is referring to the deadline to accept your aid package. you can pick your job at any time iran.4, don’t attack the lady for your own mistake.</p>

<p>Okay just so IRAN.4 didn’t mess with anyone’s perception of work study, work study is basically whether or not you are going to be working to help pay your college tuition. The government pays a portion of your paycheck and your employer the other. </p>

<p>If you sign up for work study, you are basically guaranteed a job, so that’s not something you need to worry about. On the other hand, if you’re worried about getting that one job you need to get, you just need to be quick and on-the-ball.</p>

<p>you’re in college now…people aren’t going to hold your hand and answer each question you have throughout the process. use UCSD’s website and your common sense for any questions, and if you absolutely cannot find the answer anywhere (I’m being serious), ask here. More often than not, people can tell whether an answer for a question can be easily found on UCSD’s website.</p>
