London Olympics 2012 - SPOILER ALERT

Not at all. She is 5’8" and wishes she was 5’10". Her last boyfriend was a wiry swim team guy.

I didn’t get any runners! I am a swimmer from Britain or a British female cyclist ora Tanzanian soccer player.

missypie, I am just having fun.

I liked your posts.

Your daughter wants to be 5’10"?

Me too.:)

^ Seriously, me too. I’m the shortest on both sides of my family. My grandmother’s were taller then me. Who is shorter then their Nana? No one, that’s who. Then I married into a family of giants… still shortest.

But MOWC, you have that perfect long distance runner body!

I am UK synchronized springboard or Russian cyclist. Well, I still recall going to the ER from one accident on a diving board but haven’t ridden a bike in a LOOONNNNNGGGGG time (too dangerous on Oahu), though I do love cycling for fun.

I think I’ve been watching way too much of the Olympics. I had a dream last night that I was doing hurdles on the track at our local high school. For those of you who have met me, you know how hilarious that is.

Unfortunately, my computer goes a little crazy every time I try that link to see what athlete I’d be based on height and weight.

That app is so addictive. I’m either an American diver (woohoo!) or an American swimmer…but add two pounds and I become a Japanese equestrian rider, haha.

The Japanese equestrian rider is much more interesting! I say claim that one. :)

Blueiguana, you are shorter than your nana?

You are a speck too.

Good lord! I’m a hammer thrower from some previous eastern bloc country! (At least they got the sex right!)

dstark - I’m not really…I just come from giants and got a recessive peanut gene. lol There were not so funny jokes made by my DH’s family about weather our kids would be tall (enough). All over 6’, two still growing (whew…no blame on me!).

Lol…

Back to the Olympics…

Any predictions for the women’s beach volleyball gold medal match? Does youth trump age, or does experience win out in such a high pressure situation?

I’m going with age and experience, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings. I say this having only watched two games of Kessy and Ross so I could be very wrong on this.

I’m a North Korean table tennis player. Good thing we have a ping pong table. Better start practicing.

I’m going with experience on beach volleyball, too.

I think Mistie and Kerry’s experience will win, but the other team isn’t really inexperienced. When I was watching their (Kessy & Ross) last match, the announcers made the point that they were the 7th best team in the world in 2008, but only 2 American teams could make the Olympics so they were left home. They were also world champs in 2009, so they certainly have the skills and experience to win too.

^ very good points. I should say age and more experience. Kessy & Ross are hardly the new kids on the block, not by a long shot!

“emilybee…you are a speck.”

I am the tallest/heaviest female in my family (including aunts and 1st cousins) by several inches so have always thought of myself as huge.
