Damn,I never thought I would end up like this.

Finally transferred myself out of a community-like university to “real” university, and things haven’t gone as planned.I know that being a sophomore and all can be hard to make instant friends, but it is tough. As an international student, you would think that I would/should hang out with people from my country…sure, but not too many are here anyway. And even then, they are higher up or not even in the undergrad program here. Its feels like the odds are stacked against you no matter what you do.

I am not someone who is quiet or anything, but rather try to be as social and talkative as possible.I am open to pretty much everything, and at times would do anything for the people who hang out/help me through. Some even told me I come off as too “strong”,ok I will take it slow. But then, its a standstill.Doesn’t matter how hard you try,you always end up in the same predicament as you faced before. Some people even try to “use” you to get what they want,or should I say “you scratch my back, and I scratch yours” and thats it.Pretty pathetic.

I hear my brother say how he “instantly” connected with his roommates and then the rest is history.I am not saying he didn’t try,but lets face it,he had it really easy unlike me.My roommates and I are every different, and even though I try to connect,it falls flat pretty fast.Greek?Sure, but I am not gonna even bother since I am gonna be junior next year.

Like I said,Loneliness can be a “curse” to some people.I tried folks, but to me its a losing battle no matter what I do or others like me do.
