Lonely in college :(

So, im in week 8 of uni. Im an undergraduate dance and music student. The dancers have separate classes to the musicians so the first problem is that, I rarely see any of them so its hard to bond. With my dance group, there are 7 of us all together and in class I get on with them fine. The problem is they never invite me out if they go out in the evenings, to parties etc. Then the musicians turn up to the parties and they have all made friends, so I feel really left out. I am quite a quiet person , some might say introverted… but once I get to know someone im fine… I just dont seem to have the oppurtunity to bond with the people apart from the small talk in classes.
I have a boyfriend who I hang out with and his friends, but hes leaving for his co-op placement in another country and he’ll be gone for 8 months… Thats going to destroy me, missing him, feeling lonely and having no friends to hang out with to ease the pain of it.
Please reply if you can, I could do with some advice!
Thanks

Don’t complain about how your life sucks and you don’t have any friends. If you aren’t happy with apart of your life then be proactive and do something to change it.

If you want friends then make them.

If you want good grades then study.

If you want money then work for it.

What answer are you possibly looking for? This ain’t rocket science, Mum.

Try asking during one of your classes what everyone is doing that night. Or pick the person you feel the most connected to and ask them to hang out or something. If you don’t have their phone numbers now would be a good time to ask. Just be yourself and try not to push it. Start small by connecting to one person and then they will most likely invite you along to be with the larger group.
