S used the mover his employer (the federal govt) recommended and paid for. He had no idea whom else to use. For moving his car, I think he got a few online quotes of companies that would put the vehicle on a flatbed and get it from SF to DC, but he wouldn’t recommend them and can’t recall their name. Often employer MAY have suggested companies they would recommend–it’s nice if they pay for some/all moving expenses.
