<p>i’m choosing good university in business program(the major-FINANCE).
As an international student i’ve to pay too much tuition & cost so can anyone give me some advice for good but cheap universities? </p>
<p>I am considering in “BUFFALOS state university of new york”.How is that?</p>
<p>UC Berkeley is def. the best, you can even get their regent scholarship, which doesn’t require you to be resident</p>
<p>berkeley is the best public college so i don’t think i can apply it with a scholarship. Best students from all over the world are chasing it!!</p>

<p>Hi I live about 60 miles from UB (Buffalo). It’s a nice school close to the City of Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Canada and Toronto are not that far away. It isn’t in the city proper and it’s campus is near both the Great Lakes also near the Finger Lakes there is much to do. Having said that you got to like snow, it can and does get pounded with what we in upstate NY call Lake effect snow which blows in from Lake Erie and Ontario, it’s not uncommon to get a 2 foot accumulation. School wise it is one of the better ones in the SUNY system, but not your top flight tier 1 school. It does have a great Architecture program, one of my friends son stayed in the International dorm it was quite nice.</p>
<p>My son and his wife went to James Madison University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, VA. It was a best buy and it’s location is breathtaking near the blue ridge mountains and close to Charlottsville and UVA. If you are a nature and histroy buff there isn’t any place better. Other top schools in the area are William and Mary, George Mason ect. The campus is new and the Bluestone architecture fits the countryside very well. Bus transportation if you don’t have a car will take you around Harrisonburg and to Northern and Southern Virginia very easily. there is a small connecting airport close by. I can’t speak personally about the Business program (my son was Computer Science) but I think all of their programs are highly regarded.</p>
<p>Rice and W&M are not cheap, but are prob best values of top schools.</p>
<p>thanks for your help.i know these colleges you’ve recommended are really good because all of them got a good rank.But i’ve checked the tuition and board fees.They are too expensive for me.Besides,i don’t think they will give a normal international student scholarships or other financial aids.
The point is i can’t only afford about 23,000 dollars(including all the expense)per year.What should i do???</p>

<p>Obviously not TOP business schools, but definitely good ones for the price.</p>
<p>i’ve researched carefully all the colleges on the best business program rankings which also get good ranks in general.
The result is I can afford only 4 of them without any financial aids.
these are:
1.univ. of buffalo-SUNY about total $22000
2.univ. of oklahoma about total $22000
3.James Madison University about total $23000
4.Virginia tech about total $24000</p>

<p>Look at what scholarships they offer, or even if they offer scholarships for international students.</p>
<p>You also have to be considering what you are going to spend while you are there (transportation, food, room and board if that isn’t in the amount listed, books, etc…)</p>

As i’ve known, few colleges provide scholarships to international students or only provide a little!</p>
<p>go into debt. your college education is an investment in your future. don’t skimp and go to an average college.</p>
<p>You should also consider CUNY-Baruch.</p>

<p>to TheMK99:i’ll borrow from my relatives for my college in the US and i can only borrow that much. Besides,i won’t get the student visa to america if the money is loan from the bank.</p>

<p>the best cheap school is Boise State University. maybe it is not on the charts, but it is good</p>
<p>My first choice is Ut Austin, then BSU</p>
