Looking for a target school in the LA area - Please help!

<p>I really want to go to school out in the LA/SoCal area, but I am having trouble finding one that would be a target for me. </p>

<p>I currently go to a prestigious school in NYC.</p>

<p>I have roughly a 81 average out of 100. (I don’t know how to convert to a 4.0 scale)
It’s pretty low but I worked hard to pull in up during my JR year. (A’s in all classes)</p>

<p>The only AP I have taken is AP Psychology </p>

<p>I have a 2130 SAT (720 M, 700 CR, 710 W)
750 Math II and 640 Physics </p>

<p>My extracurriculars include:
2 years as VP of my schools Cancer Society Club
2 years as secretary of a club designed to fundraise through teamwork based activities
1 year of Stage Crew (setting up/constructing stage and props for school plays)
1 year of Outdoor Track & Field </p>

<p>Volunteer Service:
40 hours at the Food Bank: NYC
40 hours at Habitat for Humanity</p>

Occidental</p>

<p>With my average, those are definitely not “targets” haha</p>

<p>If you need merit money, Whittier’s deadline is Oct. 15. I think Redlands is Nov. 15. Also look at Chapman.</p>
