Looking for advice while waiting to hear back from colleges.

<p>Well I am the first member of my family to plan to attend college so other then high school counselers I do not have anyone to go to for knowledge on college admissions. </p>

<p>My question is I applied to a college about two months ago and it still says they are going over my application while others I know applied after me but have already heard back from them being denied. So I was wondering if this is a bad thing? and what ways can I show the school that I am worthy of being accepted.</p>

<p>You might consider asking your counselor to check on the status of your application. </p>

<p>Alternately, if the college(s) has a website to check on applications, use that to verify yours is complete.</p>

<p>Financial aid requires the FAFSA and maybe other applications.</p>

<p>If an interview is needed, you might try to schedule that. </p>
