Looking for an engineering school with.....

What’s an amazing engineering school with a high acceptance rate and a feb deadline?

or a deadline that has still not passed

Here is one.

Manhattan College has a solid engineering program.

@werekall123, What have you been doing since you posted this thread? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1722526-urm-need-quick-help-with-my-list-of-colleges-decent-sat-score-p1.html

There was a lot of good advice on that thread for you including some good Engineering schools that you can still apply to.

Why start over with a new thread that does not give enough information for anyone here offer you guidance. For instance, I had to go back and read your other threads to find that you are an International student with ability to pay full cost. And I was able to get a grasp on your GPA and SAT scores. And I saw that you already got some great advice on your “dream” list bringing you back to reality.

Did you apply to any of the schools on your list? Did you look at and / or apply to any of those schools that were mentioned?

Are you an international? or are you a US citizen that lives abroad?

I need to fix up a good list of colleges to apply to, I want a good list of ivy’s or top schools I can get into (my top choices are Cornell, NYU and Northeastern) and I would appreciate it greatly if any of you can help me change/add to it to improve it.

I also want safeties because it seems as all I have are reaches

My list of colleges is as follows:

Cornell
Emory
NYU
Northeastern
Georgia Institute of Tech
Harvard(I know.)
Johns Hopkins
Purdue
Princeton
UCLA/UCB (already applied)
University of Chicago
University of Illinois at Chicago
University of Michigan

Is this a good list? Do I need more safeties? Can I add more prestigious schools? What schools do you guys advise me to add? Are there chances for me at some of the big top schools?

P.S. I got really good ECs and essays

Your M+CR is low for engineering at a number of the above listed schools. Eng’g depts often want Math scores in the 650+ range. Which is your M score?

alabama has a Feb 1 priority deadline, but would likely accept you for eng’g.

South Dakota Mines is rolling and New Mexico Tech has a late deadline.

@IowaParent15 Thank you! I’ll look into it.

@happy1 Thank you! Looking into it right now.

@lots2do Most of the deadlines of colleges on my previous thread have already PASSED.

I applied to several from my original list and actually, quite a few from the comment suggestions.

But this thread has a purpose, and quite honestly, some of the schools on the older thread weren’t perfect matches for me for example, I want to live in a renowned and safe area and go to a well-known school, close to the area my family reside in.

Thanks for your input man!

@mom2collegekids

I’m an international student, and my math score is 680.

Thank you for your suggestion!

@ucbalumnus‌ Thanks, looking into it!!

Missouri S&T - Small town, small school, big time reputation. - http://www.mst.edu

Rochester Institute of Technology and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, off the top of my head.

" I want to live in a renowned and safe area and go to a well-known school, close to the area my family reside in." - So what advise do you want from us? Surely you’ve know that list for a while.
