Looking for an old post on tips for college success

There used to be an old post that would get reposted from time to time, it was advice to college students on how to do well in their classes, it said things like “meet with the professor and ask where the students typically struggle in the class” and “read the syllabus“ and things like that. If anyone has it, could you please share it here?

Also, if there are any current student success book recommendations? More for academic success, rather than the extracurricular or dealing with roommates.

Thank you. They say when the student is ready, the teacher shows up.

No, it was just one response that was very long. It was years ago. The same poster would cut and paste reply as an answer to different questions. I have tried searching for it here several times, I wonder if it was too long ago and archived.
