Looking for another option

I plan on applying to 8 colleges but have only decided for sure on 7. For the eighth school, I want a place with a good football or basketball team, a decent comp sci program, and most importantly that is willing to offer me a lot of scholarship money. I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA in AP classes, I am involved with activities outside of school, and my highest single test SAT score was a 1470. Any suggestions?

It would be helpful to know what the first 7 are so we are not repeating.

My first seven were Texas, Michigan, Texas A&M, Princeton, Harvard, CU Boulder, and North Carolina

Pitt, Alabama, Purdue, Florida State/U of Florida, U of South Carolina

Your first 7 are not exactly scholarship friendly schools.

Thanks! Those are some great suggestions! Do you happen to know anything about scholarships at Florida and Pitt because I had looked there but read that scholarships were hard to come by?

Pitt is generous with high stat students. Not generous at all to lower stat. I don’t know much about Florida but there are ways to qualify for instate tuition (same with U of South Carolina)

If you want to stay in state SMU is very scholarship friendly plus tons of out of state kids compared to the other texas schools you applied to.

You might get a decent scholarship from Temple. They aren’t a top football/basketball power, but they play in a pretty good D1 league, and teams sometimes make NCAA tournament and a lesser bowl game. They seem to fit your criteria for a safety.

You are getting late for some of the merit scholarship deadlines. Some were Nov 1. Some are probably doming up soon!
