<p>“As a human we are supposed to be egoism.” That is mostly recognized by the masses and is most significant treasure I grip tightly in my hand. Why? That treasure looked apathy and cold, however there is something inside, that we can’t get to, that we can’t touch. That’s Love. I was born with love, and love I will remain my whole life. I am not going to throw away happiness with both hands and reach out for something that will never make me happy. We do deprive happiness from others, on account of the fact we offer the stolen happiness as a tribute to the one we love. That is human’s egoism.
We are selfish, but not for ourself. It’s hard winning a approval with mere reason, so I am going to warrant my sentence with a scene happened in the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” by J.K. Rowling, which is a world-known book and a well-made film as well described a magic world concentrated on Harry Potter and the life around the legendary boy. And now comes the story: One of the Harry’s best friend Luna Lovegood was arrested by Voldemort. Meantime Harry Potter came to Mr. Lovegood’s for finding the clue of Horcrux(an item for Voldemort to storage his soul shard and prevent it from being devastated), for asking his daughter back, Voldemort forced him to hold Harry’s footstep in order to give him the chance to catch Harry and kill him. Mr. Lovegood poured tea for Harry, anxiously, not noticing the tea has been overflown----He didn’t want to do harm on Harry but he learned that it was the only chance, he couldn’t deprive the opportunity to rescue Luna. After Mr. Lovegood sorting out the water on the table, when Harry got to leave, the disciples of Voldemort came to Lovegood’s to arrest Harry, exploding a hole on the roof of the house. However, Harry managed to get rid of the crisis and seemed understandable to Lovegood though he was angry about that the merely-have-killed-him-event. For Mr. Lovegood, Luna is the only thing in the world worth working for, worth fighting for, worth dying for. Because she is the only person that lasts in Mr. Lovegood’s heart. Obviously, it seems audacious for Mr. Lovegood to save Luna in this way. As we know, Harry is the only hope for the magic world to eliminate Voldemort, if he would have been dead because of that, everyone would accuse Mr. Lovegood. But I think he will never regret, instead, he is likely to die for that murder without any nostalgia, what really matters to him is Luna Lovegood. As the surname of Lovegood, we can easily find out the meaning of the name given by J.K. Rowling: In front of love, we are selfish.
If it is not enough to persuade you by a fiction story, then I will show you a experience as I learned in Model U.N. and tell you the stuff I’ve acknowledged about United Nations. As a member of Model U.N. I often played a neutral role among the countries----Switzerland. I aim for a world-wide peace and an environmental-friendly strategy in most of the Model U.N. conference. Whereas things doesn’t go evenly as what a Swiss delegate have thought: Once we were discussing about the Kyoto Protocol(KP for abbreviation) in an Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC for abbreviation), the delegate of United States refused to sign for the KP though he was under the pressure by the 2 largest bloc. “As the fact that America is the largest greenhouse-gas-emission country in the history, its 4% reduction target no doubt will help save the world in a very large extent. " I stated out to the whole conference, whereas the U.S. delegate still insisted not to issue any draft directive. Holding his point for perserving the human rights in America: the Congress represented all American citizens refuses to give an official approval to sign though the presidents, he would abide the will of the people he represents. Eventually both the two blocs and Switzerland failed to let the United States sign the KP. As a world-environment-preserver, it is not good. However, if we stand on the side of the United States, we can also find the difficulty the U.S. delegate receive. It is really a hard choice between the whole world and America. Their people will lose their jobs and lose their happiness with families meantime if not reduce the greenhouse-harm-gas, the world will suffer longer. But for a person with nationality, he inclined to protect his people for any price. For no more reason, because as an American, he loves his country; America is the only thing in the world worth working for, worth fighting for, worth dying for, because it is the only thing that lasts. he would protect her though he might be condemned by the whole world.

For more, on the cultural side. I’ve remembered a sentence said by one of the emperor of Japan in the book recored the end of the Age of Samurai. (Samurai is word represented the traditional Japanese warriors who strongly believed in Bushido which is the core spirit of Samurai----Loyalty and Death). “I have dreamed a unified Japan, of a country strong and independent and modern. And now er have railroads and cannon, Western clothing. But we cannot forget who-we-are.” Said the last three words slowly, " Or where we come from.” Then the young emperor in the age of Meiji Restoration rejected the treaty against the ambassador Swanback and his prime minister Omura, for the Japanese people he loved though his decision may impede the development Capitalism Reform Government and the development of capitalism. Also in the book, another character the original captain Nathan Algren(who fell into the went to Japan to finish his life in the battle against Japanese rebel), living in a Samurai family of an old villige, finding himself unexpectedly falling in love with the Samurai culture, from the spirit of Bushido and physical practice, he seemed to have found a soldier’s sense of honor and could have a purification away from the meaningless slaughter in the American Civil War and the decimetre against American Indians. With the wheel of history irreversible running, the Meiji government would not give up the natural process of modernization, warriors and the government army eventually fought against each other in the armed forces. And captain Algren managed to fight for the things he loved and the people he loved though against and be the last Samurai alive to continue the spirit of Bushido.
From the love of Mr. Lovegood in Harry Potter, from the ethic spirit I experienced in Model U.N., and an legend in Meiji Japan. They all fight for their love against the majority. They are selfish and focus much more on themselves. They enjoy what they love and care no more things.
