Shopping is not my favorite activity and I need to find outfits for 3 formal and semi formal events. Do you have any online shopping suggestions for petites?
Nordstrom online would be a good start. Easy returns, no time limit (although have some proof of purchase for sale items or the return will be accepted at the lowest price the item sold). Plenty of petite choices. If there is a store in your area, I highly recommend making an appointment with one of their personal shoppers. No charge for this service, and no sales pressure. Name your price point and likes and dislikes, and the shopper will fetch you a number of outfits and accessories to try.

Rent the Runway has beautiful dresses that you can rent. There are great reviews of how the dress fits. My daughter has used them several times with fantastic results. The only downside is that the length may be slightly longer or shorter than you need, but you can just wear a different heel height.
My D who is petite has had good luck with Zappos. Free shipping and returns. Plus they ship quick.
If you can brave shopping in person my D has also had good luck at the Saks outlet in the Camarillo outlet center. (Disregard if I’m wrong about your general location)
For serious formal wear my “go to” is Saks online – I have good luck there in general.
Now given you are looking for 3 dresses you may want a source easier on the wallet. I have had a positive experience with Le Chateau online operating out of Montreal – it is a lower price point. I purchase a lot there for my college aged D for formals. The dresses are good quality and generally conservative – just make sure you convert the website to “U.S.” in the upper left hand side or you will get the Canadian offerings/pricing. Thank you for the suggestions. We have a Nordstrom in this area but it doesn’t carry a large collection of petites. I’ll have to check online. They do have a good return policy.
