Looking for list help!

Hello! I’m a rising senior at a public school in Idaho. I’m looking to get out of my state and go to a good college. I’ve been doing research on colleges, but I would really appreciate help on good match/safety schools.

Extracurricular Info:
I’m really involved in debate. I’m the policy team captain at my school, and I attend most of the tournaments that my school can go to. I helped start a new branch of our debate team that incorporated junior high students, and I frequently help teach in the classroom. I also enjoy music; I play the piano and the violin. I’m privately taught and an accompanist on the piano, playing for my church and also for hire at festivals, recitals, etc. On the violin, I’m concert master at my church, my school’s chamber, and a member of the Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. I started mock trial my junior year, and was promoted to junior team captain. I successfully led a team of brand-new members to the state competition, beating out our veteran mock trial team.

Work Experience:
I’ve volunteered at our local Youth Ranch, at Boise Philharmonic concerts, and for our local congresswoman’s reelection campaign.

Awards:
Aside from school awards, nothing major.

COLLEGE LIST:

University of Utah (friend attends)
University of Alabama (National Merit benefits)
Drexel University (Also National Merit)

University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
UNC, Chapel Hill
Carnegie Mellon University
Wake Forest University (debate?)

Columbia
Brown
Cornell (dad attended for graduate school - legacy?)
Harvard
Yale

Your grades and test scores are impressive, and have you on a good track. Overall, you have a good list. I wouldn’t recommend adding any more reaches, but if you wanted to add one more target or safety that wouldn’t be a terrible idea (but not extremely necessary). Perhaps you could look at some of the UC schools?
