Hi . im an international student , looking for universities with a budget of $20,000- $25,000(including all costs ) in usa for undergraduate studies.

UAB [UAB - The University of Alabama at Birmingham](http://www.uab.edu)… total cost for tuition, food and dorm 20-24K

tier 1 research university

urban campus

very strong for sciences or health related

great honors programs

11k undergrads

hey… thnx tht helped. its seems to be a pretty good university .!

you can fairly easily keep the costs closer to the 20K as all the dorms have kitchens…smaller in the suite style dorm but FULL kitchens in the apartment style. they allow up to 3500 for meal plan, which you dont need if willing to cook. they also allow 1K for books, can get used cheaper.

if interested, apply soon as honors college apps should be in by 12/1.

Excellent school for anything sciences or health related… check out their med school rankings too

pm if you want more info…my son goes there

shanayaa,

If you haven’t already done so, read through the information at [EducationUSA | Study Abroad, Student Visa, University Fairs, College Applications and Study in the U.S. / America](http://www.educationusa.info/) and then get in touch with the counselors at the advising center closest to you. They have a lot of experience helping students from your country find good places to study in the US.

There are very few colleges and universities in the US where the Cost of Attendance (COA) for an international student would be in the $20,000 to $25,000 range. Especially once you add in the cost of travel to and from the US. Remember, you have to be able to show that you can cover all of the costs of your education or you won’t get a student visa. The college-matching search engines do not let you search for COA, but you can search by tuition and fees. If you do that, set the maximum “out of state” tuition and fees to $10,000. That way you will have set aside about $10,000 for your other expenses. Here are some lists for you to look at:

University of Oklahoma

University of Mississippi

Louisiana State University

University of North Dakota
South Dakota State University

Tuition, room and board at Flagler University, a private school on the Atlantic Ocean in St. Augustine, Florida, is $22,500.

Truman State

Thankyou all …really appreciate the help …:)

hey ucbalumnus … if i had to choose between south dakota state university and north dakota … which 1 do u suggest ?

For any choice of schools, consider your intended or possible major(s) and check which schools have good degree programs in those major(s).

The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities is excellent and costs approximately $25,000, all costs included.

^^bump^^^^

hi can anybody suggest a good university in california … within my budget ?

California is usually very expensive and unecessarily selective. I do not recommend it for students on a budget. The only decent school I can think of that comes with a sub $25,000 bill is Cal Poly-Pomona.

Definitely take a close look at the Univerisity of Minnesota-Twin Cities. It is one of the top universities (excellent in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Political Science etc…) and a real bargain.
